What We Do
The Palava Project:
offers free hands-on courses for six weeks each summer in Kingston, open to anyone interested in learning how to conduct research on gender and sexuality in Caribbean archives; also includes a stipend for student.
collects oral histories from queer and trans Jamaicans and anyone who has a memory of them.
produces public events, such as our biennial queer and trans film festival, Caribbean Currents, the first of its kind on the island and returning in August 2027.
